From the ACLU Archives
The links below are to documents about Ben Salmon that are contained in the archives of the ACLU that are maintained at Princeton University Library. The home page of the Guide to the American Civil Liberties Union Records is at https://libguides.princeton.edu/c.php?g=330597&p=2219325. Records related to WW! Concscientious Objectors are in Subgroup 1, The Roger Baldwin Years which is found at https://findingaids.princeton.edu/collections/MC001.01/c000001.
The documents found below have been somewhat cleaned up from the originals found in the Princeton archives. The cleaning was to enhance readability and was accomplished by straightening, changing contrast and removing black areas. The documents were also passed through an optical character recognition program to enable the text to be searchable. The program used was ocrmypdf. Optical character recognition does an amazing job of finding words but does not capture everything so some text difficult for a computer to read will still be human readable.
